Lewis Capaldi Puts On Sensational Show At Bst Hyde Park

The final day of the 2026 BST Hyde Park concert series was nothing short of sensational. Headlining the sold-out event was Lewis Capaldi with support from top international musicians including Conan Gray, Absolutely, Jacob Alon and Alessi Rose.

Having not been to a BST Hyde Park event before we didn’t know quite what to expect upon arriving. We arrived at 3pm and Lewis Capaldi’s set was not on till around 8.30pm so were a little concerned there wouldn’t be enough to do. I soon realised this wasn’t the case. The moment we walked in we were met by Absolutely on the Great Oak Stage and enjoyed her set before exploring what Hyde Park had on offer.

There were many brands showcasing their products and offering interactive experiences for chances to sample and win branded items. With the high temperatures of the weekend, it was great fun going from stall to stall sampling different drinks and getting spritzed with sun cream in between!

As an American Express card holder I was able to get a free Lewis Capaldi water bottle which came in handy to keep refilling throughout the day and made a really great souvenir. After getting this we decided to check out the AMEX experience where you could get even more freebies including sweets and AMEX bandanas. We played the hook-a-duck game and were extremely luck as despite while queuing the vast majority of people playing walked away empty handed, we won Diamond VIP wristbands allowing us to get at the very front of the Great Oak Stage and into a VIP only garden.

We went straight over to the garden and managed to relax for a bit and make use of the fancy VIP toilets. We went to watch Conan Gray’s set which was incredible, and being that much closer made all the difference, Hearing hits such as ‘Vodka Cranberry’ and ‘Heather’ live was amazing. He is a great performer.

After Conan’s set we decided to rest for a little bit more before Lewis’ headline set began. We then grabbed some drinks and made our way back over to the Great Oak Stage to make sure we had a good spot. Lewis Capaldi is brilliant. Unlike the other performers that day, he walked on stage without any grand entrance and every song ended with the video wall going to black allowing him and his music to tell the story without any added theatrics.

The evening was packed full of his wickedly dry sense of humour and great music, with a moment to reflect on the progress he had made with his personal health since Glastonbury.

Having seen on social media that Sam Fender joined Lewis Capaldi on stage the night before, we were eager to see who, if anyone, would be joining him. Lewis brought out Luke Pritchard from The Kooks and they sang ‘Naive’ together which was utterly brilliant to witness live. A really great performance.

The upgraded tickets definitely enhanced our experience, but I think even having remained with our original tickets we would have still had a great time. The only negative about the whole day was that the grass was so dry that it was constantly blowing into everyone’s eyes and getting stuck on everybody’s skin. Though, obviously this cannot be helped.

I’m definitely going to keep an eye on the line-up for next year and look forward to going back.
